Claiming Space

Where individuality and community intersect, space emerges as a focal point in my artistic exploration. “Hell is other people” as Sartre declared and “Claiming Space” speaks to the that inherent tension in our collective occupancy-the delicate interplay between asserting ownership, negotiating boundaries, and shaping identity. In "And We Measure the Earth" the first installment of the series, each canvas captures a fleeting moment of movement, against a blind contour of ongoing motion. Here, I examine the lyrical dance of marking territory in unbounded space- the luxury of privilege.
